Call to Order:
Imran Hussain called the meeting to order and thanked everyone for attending, as well as the Carroll Knicely Center crew for hosting.

Treasurer’s Report:
Joy Jolly reported that she is in the process of getting all of the BGALA’s 501-C3 info to make sure that we do not get penalized for not being current, and to make sure that we do not get taxed by the state. She also reported that all dues are paid.

Attraction’s Reports:
National Corvette Museum
Katie Frassinelli reported that they had to cancel the Camaro event due to the rescheduling of the Buick GS Nationals—Beech Bend was overbooked. She sent out 200 packets to American Legions, VFWs,  and military hospitals to get people interested in attending. The Kentucky National Guard is bringing a humvee and a rocket launcher to put on display. They will also have American Flags that can be purchased in someone’s honor or memory, they will be displayed in the yard as well as on the scrolling tv in the lobby. Katie and a friend started the BG Parent quarterly magazine as well for something on the side.

Historic Rail Park & Museum
Sharon Tabor reported that the museum will be having an event for Halloween.

Lost River Cave
Rho reported that they are in full force for Fall. They are having a Civil War Ball, skirmishs, a night fire free event all on the weekend of October 23rd. All is free.

Carroll Knicely Conference Center
Sue Parrigin spoke on behalf of the Carroll Knicely Center. They are 85% complete in their new addition to their building. They are operating under a temporary certificate of occupancy. They still have to complete the additional storage space, as well as the courtyard/gazebo area outside.
CVB Report:
Vicki Fitch spoke on behalf of the CVB. She reported that the World Equestrian Games were a hit and the Corvette was a big hit, selling 50k in raffle tickets. They just started the I heart BG campaign and the Chamber is also using it to help promote the area. She distributed buttons for hoteliers to give to front desk staff.

The next BGALA meeting will be held on November 9, 2010.
